The method
One Rail. Every Piece Checked By Hand.
SwiftShop runs like a vintage-inventory database with a shopfront bolted on. Nothing lists until it's been graded, authenticated, and measured flat. Here's exactly what those three words mean.
grading scale
MINT. Deadstock or near it. No flaws under the lens.
EXCELLENT. Worn, cared for. Minor fade or a tiny mark, noted and shot.
HONEST. Visible wear that reads as character. Fully wearable.
DISTRESSED GRAIL. Holes, thin spots, repairs. Bought for the story and the rarity.

We Check It So You Don't Have To Guess
Hover any photo below — a magnifier lens follows your pointer at 2× so you can read the weave, the stitch, and the wear exactly as we did.

Fabric Fade Level
Rated against a 5-step swatch card. This coat sits at level 3 — sun-honest, not bleached. Move the lens across the yoke to see where the indigo lifted.
Hotspot 02
Authentic Tag Check
Union label typeface, stitch count, and care symbols cross-referenced to the 1988 production run. The lens shows the single-needle hem on the label edge.

Distressing Details
Every hole, thin spot, and repair is mapped and photographed at 2× before listing. Nothing is hidden in the gallery — the lens is the same one we use.

Exact Measurements
Pit, length, shoulder, sleeve, hem — taken flat with a steel rule and listed in inches. No "fits like a medium". The number is the number.
sizing & returns
How we measure flat
Garment laid flat, buttoned, smoothed. Pit-to-pit is straight across an inch below the armhole. Length runs from the base of the collar to the hem. Shoulder is seam to seam. Every figure is in inches, taken with a steel rule, rounded to the nearest quarter.
- ✂ Compare against a shirt you already own — not a size label
- ✂ Vintage sizing runs 1–2 sizes smaller than modern
The 14-day return
If the measurements we published don't match the piece in your hands, send it back within 14 days for a full refund including return postage. If it fits the numbers but not you, you cover the return label — the garment still has to be rail-ready.
Disputes go to a human, not a form. dispatch@swiftshop.example
